Service Learning

Empowering students to create change through service, learning, and community impact.

At MS-Take Charge, we are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Service-Learning students who bring fresh perspectives, dedication, and enthusiasm to our mission. Through UWEC’s Service-Learning Program, students have the chance to apply their academic knowledge to real-world nonprofit work, gaining hands-on experience in community engagement, leadership, and nonprofit development.

Service-learning is a powerful bridge between education and community impact.  By actively participating in our initiatives, students play a crucial role in supporting our programs, strengthening partnerships, and helping us advance our mission to empower individuals affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Their contributions not only enhance our organization’s efforts but also provide them with invaluable experience in teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.

The commitment, creativity, and passion that Service-Learning students bring to MS-Take Charge continue to make a lasting difference. Their involvement has been instrumental in organizing events, improving outreach, and ensuring our programs remain impactful and accessible to those we serve.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all Service-learning students and faculty mentors for their dedication to service, leadership, and community engagement. Your support is instrumental in advancing our mission, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful collaboration.

Meet Our Students

MS-Take Charge Logo. A logo featuring bulky letters symbolizing the fatigue and heaviness of living with MS. The angled design reflects the daily uphill battle faced by individuals. The fragmented font serves as a visual metaphor for the breakdown of myelin, illustrating the challenges in nerve signal transmission, while emphasizing the power to proactively take charge of health and well-being.
