A Celebration of Strength and Community
Join us at the Sonnentag Event Center UWEC and be part of a movement that’s about more than walking—it’s about coming together, taking charge, and making a difference.
This event is a step toward building a more inclusive and supportive space for those living with MS. Every participant, donor, and volunteer plays a role in expanding movement classes, educational initiatives, and support programs for the MS community.
Whether you're walking in honor of a loved one or supporting the MS community, every dollar raised stays local to help individuals living with MS.

In 2026, MS-Take Charge is the official nonprofit behind the MS Neuro Walk and the ADA36 Disability Resource Fair.
We are closely working with:
-
Eau Claire Community Nexus - created under the Eau Claire City EDI Commission to amplify underrepresented voices in our community. Learn more
-
ADA partners and advocates - honoring the civil rights law passed on July 26, 1990. Learn more
-
UW-Eau Claire students and departments - to create an engaging, educational, and joyful experience.
This collaboration allows us to be more organized, more intentional, and more impactful than ever before.
We invite you to be part of the MS-Neuro Walk Celebration, a powerful event dedicated to empowering individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and fostering a strong, supportive community.
The MS-Neuro Walk is more than a fundraiser. It is a community invitation to connect people living with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions to the incredible disability resources that already exist in Eau Claire.
We are bringing the organizations, programs, students, advocates, and neighbors into one place so people can discover what support looks like - face to face, in a welcoming, joyful environment.

-
ADA36: Yours, Mine, Ours - Together We Thrive Disability Resource Fair - July 24, 2026 - Celebrating the 36th Anniversary of the ADA by honoring the largest underrepresented population in our community - people living with disabilities - and the organizations that serve them.

About Our Host
MS-Take Charge is a nonprofit organization founded by Shelly Sutley, who lives with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and is dedicated to empowering others with the condition. Based in Eau Claire, WI, our mission is to build a stronger, more supportive community for individuals living with MS by providing accessible movement programs, educational opportunities, and a space for connection.
While we currently offer therapeutic yoga, cycling classes, and a support group, our vision is to expand these programs and introduce new wellness initiatives, resources, and events designed to improve the quality of life for those with MS. We believe that movement, education, and community are key to helping individuals take charge of their health and well-being—but we can’t do it alone.
With the support of our local community, volunteers, and donors, we aim to:
-
Offer more movement-based classes tailored to the unique needs of those with MS
-
Provide educational workshops covering topics like nutrition, mental health, and symptom management
-
Create a safe, welcoming space where individuals can connect, learn, and find encouragement
-
Advocate for greater accessibility and awareness to improve the lives of those affected by MS
This is just the beginning, and we need YOU to help us grow.
Every donation, volunteer effort, and shared story brings us one step closer to making these goals a reality. Join us in building a thriving MS community where everyone has the resources and support they need to take charge of their journey.
