  1. Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Intern. As a Social Media Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation, and graphic design. This position will provide valuable skills and knowledge in the field of digital marketing. We are looking for 3-4 social media posts per week on a variety of platforms.


  1. What is the mission of the agency or organization?

MS-Take Charge, Inc. is a non-profit group dedicated to the preservation, growth and vitality of the mind, body and soul for those living with MS. Our main goal is to support mental health and overall well-being of individuals with MS, enabling them to face the challenges of MS with strength, resilience, and a sense of community. Our team has firsthand experience living with MS and this personal connection fuels our passion and drives our mission to support, educate, and inspire those navigating the challenges of MS.


  1. What skills are required for this project? 

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or other graphic design software - Strong research skills to stay up-to-date with industry trends - Knowledge of social media marketing strategies and best practices - Familiarity with content creation for various social media platforms - Basic understanding of SEO principles for social media optimization - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team


  1. What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Intern. Scheduling is flexible around the student's needs. Looking to meet with the student once a week.

Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological disorder usually manifesting itself in early 20’s. Almost one million people in the United States have MS, making it one of the most common causes of neurological disability among young adults (20’s-40’s) in North America. The prevalence of MS in Wisconsin is medium to high and there is an estimated 20,000 people in Wisconsin impacted by Multiple Sclerosis.
